Welcome to the Philadelphia Chapter of the Society for American Baseball Research (SABR)! Our chapter is a passionate community of baseball enthusiasts, historians, and statisticians dedicated to the rich history and vibrant future of baseball in Philadelphia and beyond.

Our chapter is a hub for members who share a deep love for the game. Whether you’re a lifelong fan, a researcher, or someone interested in the statistical side of baseball, you’ll find a welcoming home here. Our mission is to foster research, preservation, and dissemination of baseball history through collaborative efforts, engaging discussions, and educational events.

Our activities include:

  • Meetings: Join us for our regular meetings where we discuss recent research, share stories, and hear from guest speakers including former players, sportswriters, and baseball historians.
  • Research Projects: Participate in collaborative research projects that explore various aspects of baseball history, from legendary players and historical games to statistical analysis and the cultural impact of the sport.
