Meeting began around 2:00 p.m. with eight people in attendance.
· Rock Hoffman and Steven Glassman talked about the Trenton Thunder.
· Paul Ember asked Steven about the Trenton Thunder Baseball card set.
· Eric C. Gray from the SABR Lefty O’Doul Chapter wrote a book, Bases to Bleachers (Palmetto Publishing) (Self-Published).
o Gray will talk about and share stories from his book on Sunday, August 22 at 306 Dickinson Avenue, in Swarthmore, PA (Public Reading at friend’s home in the daytime).
· Steven talked about August 1 in Philadelphia Baseball History (Secretary’s Note: I will e-mail a separate attachment about this date in Philadelphia Baseball History). This led to a discussion about…
o Tug McGraw.
o Curt Simmons in the military during second half of the 1950 season.
o Meeting ballplayers in public places.
· July 30 Trade Deadline thoughts
· Thoughts on Giants and Phillies, MLB trades and outlooks
· Eric shared some of the stories from his book with the chapter and answered questions from the chapter.
